Aaron and Alexa’s Wedding Photos

Aaron and Alexa’s Wedding was amazing. Why? Because they are two people who are so vibrant, smart, and creative, who make each other smile in really big ways, and who make everybody around them feel special too! And listening to the stories people shared, they’re a perfect match. Can you think of anything better than that?

The day of their wedding we awoke to a thick layer of grey clouds just like many of the previous days, but by lunch time, the sun had broken through and it was warm and bright. Ortega Ridge, where the Rieter family live and on whose property the wedding would take place, is nothing short of spectacular. As we walked the property, our jaws dropped! Looking one way we saw the hills and mountains of Santa Barbara, green and luscious, dropping down to the ocean, the harbor and points beyond. Then, looking the other way was another view of the sparkling ocean! The gardens made you want to wander and explore and there was even a bocce ball court that got plenty of use during the reception! The land slopped down from one house to the dance spot, to the tables with beautiful flower arrangements and trees with streamers and lanterns (all created by Suz Reyes at www.suzreyes.com) and then in the perfect place between trees, Tibetan prayer flags were flying, gracing the celebration that would happen there shortly.

The obvious care shown by all those who love Aaron and Alexa, was clearly seen in the flower arrangements, the Peach Pies Extraordinaire, the hanging lights, the music choices and the ceremony itself. Kate, one of Alexa’s dearest friends, went above and beyond and got her Minister’s license so that she could officiate at the ceremony, making it extra special since she’d introduced the two of them back in 2007! How amazing is that? Even the babies and children brought their own special magic to the mix and I don’t think there ever was a tear shed! It was as if everybody stepped into their best suit, their best selves, and what happened was the best wedding imaginable! Three cheers to Aaron and Alexa!!!
